My name is Erik Swanson and I'm the founder of Calisota Media.  That's me on the left.  The guy on the right is Otto, my office-mate.  But if you're reading this, you probably want to know more about me...so here goes. 

 

After graduating with a degree in Radio/TV/Film from Northwestern University, I left the Midwest for the sunny shores of California.  I’ve worked in video production for over two decades and have had the opportunity to tell exciting, emotional, personal, and visceral stories - from the rugged ski slopes of Andorra, to the misty cliffs of Niagara falls, to the brutal UFC Octagon.  To bring them to life, I have written scripts, directed, shot, and edited video, designed graphics, and supervised teams of producers and artists.  These stories have found homes online,  or on networks and streaming services such as NBC, ESPN, National Geographic, Netflix and CBS to name a few.  I've developed relationships with some of the industry's best creative talents - writers, directors, cinematographers, graphic designers, actors, actresses, etc.  So no matter what the scope or budget of your vision, whether short or long form, commercial or narrative, online or broadcast, I can create compelling video content that finds the heart of YOUR story.
